Jerry Eisterhold, museum designer and proprietor of TerraVox Winery in Platte County, will discuss the history of North American grapes and how root stock from those grapes saved the Old World’s vines in the 19th century.  He will tell us how his personal quest took him all over the country to rescue “one of a kind” grapes of North American extraction. TerraVox is now growing over two dozen varieties of grapes, most of which are cultivated nowhere else, and is also coaxing unique wines from many of them.
