KC Gems – Kansas City Museum’s Clothing Collection with Lisa Shockley
February 18 – 1:30 pm | In Person in the SPARK classroom or Online via Zoom.
The Kansas City Museum is home to one of the largest clothing and textiles collections in the Midwest. With over 20,000 pieces, ranging from the late 18th century to the present, it shows the changing fashion from everyday clothing to women’s haute couture. The collection includes over 200 quilts and coverlets, wedding dresses, casual wear, and the collection from the former Historic Garment District Museum.
