Tai Chi for Arthritis – Beginners

Mondays (June 3 – 24) and Wednesdays (June 5 – 26)

In Person Only | Beginners   10:00 – 11:00 am | $40.00

NOTE: Each part of the class will be held two times per week for one hour each day.  Students should attend both classes each week for the Part in which they are enrolled, not just one day per week.  Students will learn better by practicing twice a week.  For this interactive class, you should wear comfortable clothes and flat-bottom, non-slip shoes.


Based on the Sun style of Tai Chi, the Tai Chi for Arthritis Program uses a series of slow, fluid, gentle movements.  The program helps improve balance, flexibility, postural alignment, strength, and mobility.  TCA also helps reduce blood pressure, stress, falls, and fear of falling.


The Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA) Program is an effective and safe exercise program designed by Dr. Paul Lam in conjunction with a team of medical experts and Tai Chi masters.  It is adopted by the Arthritis Foundation for anyone with arthritis or similar chronic pain.  The practice is also good for balance and fall prevention.
