Parking at 4825 Troost

UMKC requires that all vehicles parking in the lot at the 4825 Troost building display a parking hang tag or utilize the AMP phone app to pay for metered parking.  This includes those using handicapped parking.  Failure to do so will result in a parking ticket from the UMKC Campus Police.

SPARK purchases the parking hang tags from UMKC and makes them available to our participants at the lowest cost possible.  Once the tag is purchased, the MONTH, DAY and YEAR must be clearly scratched off and the tag displayed on the car’s rear view mirror.  These tags must be mailed or picked up in the office.  

Our volunteer door greeter will have tags available at the door for you if you need one and you can pay for it in the office.  Be aware that the university keeps our building locked and door greeters are generally at the door 20 minutes prior to the start of class and leave their post a minute or two prior to the start of class so they do not miss anything.

If you use the AMP phone app, download it from your phone’s app store and set up the required information such as your license plate number and payment method prior to parking.  The AMP metered spots are found along the fence parallel to Troost Avenue.

Failure to use one of these options may result in a parking violation issued by UMKC.  SPARK will resolve one parking violation per member at the rate of $20 paid to SPARK. A member who experiences additional violations will be obligated to contact the UMKC Parking Department to resolve the ticket on their own.
