About This Course

Course Description

NOTE - This class does not meet on September 22 or October 16.  There are 3 sessions of this class on September 15, September 29 and October 13th.

Pianists commonly borrow music not originally written for the modern piano. In this quarter, we will explore music written for keyboard in the Baroque period, focusing on the unique aspects of the Baroque's three most important keyboard composers - George Frideric Handel, Domenico Scarlatti, and Johann Sebastian Bach.

This class includes a performance component.  Dr. Savage will play pieces we discuss each week.
