This course explores the history of the United States from the end of World War II to the present through the lens of visual art, music, film, and popular culture. Students will examine how artists have reflected, challenged, and shaped major historical developments, including the Cold War, the Civil Rights Movement, the Vietnam War, the rise of consumer culture, globalization, and contemporary social movements.
