For more than 30 years, the School of Economics (SOE) has delivered hands-on financial literacy education to students across Eastern and Suburban Jackson County, equipping the next generation with the knowledge and skills they need to make sound financial decisions. Through classroom

instruction, student-run marketplaces, and real-world economic simulations, SOE brings personal finance to life – transforming abstract concepts like budgeting, saving, and entrepreneurship into practical tools students carry with them long after the school year ends.

Sam Cook – With a passion for mission-driven work, Sam specializes in translating organizational goals into compelling stories, campaigns, and materials that connect with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and the communities SOE serves.
