This class begins on September 18 and ends on October 23. It is 3 hours long
This class is in-person only without a Zoom or recorded component and is a 6 session class. Participants will not be able to choose to participate in fewer sessions for a discounted price.
Our film series continues with the theme of “migration” for the Fall.
The films are
- The Grapes Wrath
- The Good Lie
- West Side Story
- El Norte
- Moscow on the Hudson
- and Nomadland.
Each class begins with a short lecture of insightful information about the film, followed by a discussion after the movie.
Joe Heyen was the instructor of Introduction to Film at Maple Woods Community College and also taught film production and editing; He is a documentary filmmaker; past president of the Independent Filmmakers Coalition and the Missouri Motion Media Association or MoMMA.
