Visit a treasure inside the Miller Nichols Library at the Marr Sound Archives, which contains over 400,000 audio and audiovisual recordings, which focus on the American experience as reflected in recorded sound.
In addition to music, the collection contains rare equipment, historic speeches, interviews and vintage radio programs.
The Archives serves UMKC students, faculty, the local community, and researchers from around the globe.
This tour will be on Friday, October 24 from 1:30–3:00 pm and limited to 20 participants.
Parking with a UMKC parking permit is available in the parking lot on the north side of the building. Members may want to carpool from the SPARK office to share a parking pass. The Marr Sound Archives are on the lower level of Miller Nichols Library. Enter the library using the doors on the north side of the building.
